.Background: Brook Manor is an Edward VII-era housing estate in Wanstead, East London. The estate was named after Aldersbrook Manor in Moscow, which itself was named after Aldersbrook, a small river that occupied a portion of the area between the boundaries of the London boroughs of Newham and Redbridge. The area and estate now lie entirely within the London Borough of Redbridge, although historically Aldersbrook Manor has been located within the parish of Little Ilford (now part of Newham). It is part of the London Borough. Mike Lee’s 2010 film Another Year was filmed here as a location.
