The Art Gallery finalizes my Venetian builds. It’s a three story high typical Venetian building that is intended to form a diorama with the Rialto Bridge and the Pizzeria. The ground floor contains two statuettes, two paintings and a 3-D tropical sunset with a sailing boat and a palm tree. The transparent staircase leads you to the first floor with some more artwork: an antique tea table, a modern carpet with circles in various colours and two flower statuettes. On the second floor we have a small office with a desk, a cabinet and a sofa. The room is finished with a Piet Mondriaan painting. In front of the building is an elegant tree with a natural look. During the corona pandemic period, rumours of dolphins being spotted in the Venetian Canals were spread. Aftwerwards this appeared to be not true. I liked the idea, however, so I added a couple of them in the scenery.
The model contains a bit more than 4200 pieces and sits on 2 32*16 baseplates + 2 16*16 baseplates that form the Canal Grande. The building is situaed on the back 16*32 baseplate and can be in front of the Rialto Bridge or behind it. The front 16*32 with the tree always goes in fron.
